Karla Rocio Lindgren is a mission-driven legal leader with deep experience in public education. In this role, she leads with a people-centered, student-first approach, making sure our legal, compliance, and risk systems help schools thrive while protecting the dignity and wellbeing of students, families, and staff. A proud Latina and first-generation college graduate, Karla brings a strong equity lens and deep purpose to her work. She is known for clear-eyed problem solving, thoughtful partnership with school and network leaders, and the ability to move complex issues forward with both rigor and care. She translates complicated legal and compliance requirements into clear guidance so leaders can act with confidence.
Karla brings expertise in education law, charter operations, and organizational risk from previous roles at BES and the Charter School Growth Fund. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver and a BA in English Literature from the University of Central Florida.
