One thing I’ve learned in this work is that there is no finish line… But every so often, there are milestones that remind us we’re moving in the right direction.
Last year:
👨🏽🎓 100% of our seniors were accepted to college
📈 We grew enrollment by nearly 9%
📖 And more students became “Millionaire” readers than ever before
These wins reflect our deep belief of what’s possible when high expectations are matched with consistent support; and we’re just getting started.
💙 Staff retention improved, though we didn’t quite meet our goal
🍏 Eight of our twelve schools earned “green” on the State Performance Framework
👀 And, our middle schools remain a key focus area
That’s the spirit behind this year’s Big Five Goals — they’re bold for a reason, and that’s because our students are capable of so much, and because this moment calls for more.
